What boat tours and day trips can you take from Trogir?
Four day trips run from Trogir: the Three Island Tour, Blue Cave & 5 Islands, Blue Lagoon and Krka Waterfalls. Trogir.Tours runs the full-day Three Island Tour with lunch on board, the Blue Cave & 5 Islands speedboat adventure to Biševo, Vis and Hvar, a half-day swim at the Blue Lagoon, and the Krka Waterfalls day trip. Private speedboat charters to Hvar and the Pakleni Islands are also available. Every tour departs from Trogir Riva with a licensed local skipper, an easy 20–30 minutes from Split, Kaštela and Okrug.
How much does a boat tour from Trogir cost?
Prices start at €50 per adult for the full-day Three Island Tour and €55 for the half-day Blue Lagoon. Children are €50 on the Blue Lagoon half-day and €25 (5-12) on the Three Island Tour. The Krka Waterfalls day trip starts at €75 and the Blue Cave & 5 Islands speedboat tour is €110.
How do I book a boat tour with Trogir.Tours?
Pick your tour and date on our website and send a booking request. Group tours take a small deposit online to confirm your spot; for private charters we email you a secure deposit link once we confirm availability. You then receive a confirmation email with your exact meeting point.
Do I have to pay the full price online?
No. Group tours hold your place with a small per-guest deposit online and the balance is paid on the day (on the Three Island Tour in cash, on board), the Blue Cave tour is the exception and is paid in full. Private charters are confirmed with a deposit: 25% of the charter price on most boats, and a flat €100 on Sun, Swim & Mojitos.
Where do the tours depart from?
Most tours leave from Trogir, with pickup also available in Okrug and Medena. We are easy to reach from Split, Kaštela, Čiovo and Seget. Your exact meeting point and time are in your confirmation email, with a Google Maps link.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure on full-day tours, and up to 24 hours on the half-day Blue Lagoon. If we have to cancel because of the weather, you get a full refund or a free reschedule.
Can I book the whole boat as a private charter?
Yes. Our private speedboat charters give you the whole boat and a local skipper, your route, your pace. Choose from Sun, Swim & Mojitos (a small-group day at the Blue Lagoon and Šolta, up to 8 guests, from €500), a Half-Day Escape, Drvenik & Šolta, Hvar & the Pakleni Islands, or the Blue Cave & 5 Islands. Most charters take up to 12 guests.
How many people are on a tour?
Group tours run in small groups, and private charters are whole-boat for up to 12 guests (8 on Sun, Swim & Mojitos). The Three Island Tour uses a larger boat and can host bigger family and friend groups, just ask.
Are your tours suitable for children and families?
Yes. The Three Island Tour and Blue Lagoon tours are especially family-friendly, with children’s pricing and gentle swimming stops. Longer open-sea days such as the Blue Cave suit older children and adults.
What is included in the price?
It varies by tour, but generally a licensed local skipper, fuel, harbour fees, snorkelling gear and towels. Water and soft drinks are on board on the Three Island Tour and the Blue Lagoon half day, not on the Blue Cave day. The full-day Three Island Tour also includes breakfast, a grilled lunch and drinks on board.
What should I bring on a boat tour?
Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. We provide snorkelling gear and water. Bring some cash for entry tickets or lunch ashore on tours where those are not included.
When is the season?
We operate from May to October, weather depending. July and August are the busiest months, so it is best to book ahead.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the weather is bad we reschedule you or offer a full refund. Safety comes first. Open-sea tours like the Blue Cave depend on calm seas.
How do I get to the meeting point from Split?
From Split, Trogir is about a 30-minute drive, with regular buses and taxis too. There is parking near the waterfront. Your confirmation email includes a Google Maps pin for the exact dock.
Is the Blue Cave visit guaranteed?
No, the Blue Cave is never guaranteed: access depends on weather, sea conditions and the local authorities. We time the trip to give you the best chance of entering the cave on Biševo. If the cave is closed we adjust the route to the best alternative islands.
What languages does the crew speak?
Our skippers speak Croatian and English. The website is also available in German, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, French and Spanish to help you plan your trip.
When does the season run, and do you sail in winter?
The season runs from May to October, with no scheduled group tours in winter. Tours are at their fullest in July and August, and September is often the best of the year: the sea is still around 24°C and the crowds have gone. Outside those months a private charter or a boat rental can sometimes be arranged in good weather. Ask us and we will tell you honestly what the sea is doing.
Can I smoke on the boat?
Not on board. The boats are small and open, and there is nowhere for smoke to go that does not reach the guest next to you. There are breaks ashore on the Three Island Tour, in Maslinica on the Blue Lagoon half-day and inside the national park on the Krka trip.
Is there a minimum number of people for a tour to run?
No, there is no minimum: you can book a group tour for one or two people. Group tours run on the schedule and you simply share the boat with other guests. In the shoulder months a departure with very few bookings can occasionally be moved to another day, and if that happens we tell you as early as we can and you choose another date or take a full refund.
Do you give a discount for groups?
The listed per-person price applies whatever your group size when you book online. For larger groups, roughly ten people or more, ask us before booking and we will quote: the Three Island Tour boat hosts big groups, so there is usually room to talk. Children's prices apply on top of that. If you are eight or more it is usually better value to take the whole boat as a private charter, which is priced per boat rather than per person: tell us the group size and the date and we will quote you.
Can I pay by credit card, and do you take cash?
Yes to both: the deposit is paid online by card and the balance in cash on the day. We take credit and debit cards (Visa and Mastercard) through Stripe, so your card details never reach us. The balance is paid in cash in euros; on the Three Island Tour it is always cash, on the other tours a card works only if you arrange it with the crew in advance. Boat rental deposits are taken by card or cash at the handover.
Is the tour ok for a 4 year old?
Yes, on three of our four tours. A 4 year old travels free on the Three Island Tour, which is the most forgiving day for a toddler: a large, stable wooden boat with shade, a toilet and lunch cooked on board, two anchored swim stops plus free time in Maslinica, where there is a beach two minutes from the boat. If a full day sounds like a lot, the Blue Lagoon half day is five hours in shallow, sheltered water and children 0 to 12 pay €50. Krka is a walking day rather than a swimming one, which suits some small children and not others. The Blue Cave tour is the exception: it is not recommended under 8, and under-5s are not allowed inside the cave itself.
Is the speedboat too bumpy for children?
On the Blue Lagoon half day, not usually. It stays inside the sheltered archipelago on short hops between Drvenik, Šolta and Čiovo, and most of the five hours is spent anchored or ashore rather than under way. Sea state is still weather-dependent and your skipper makes the final call. The Blue Cave tour is the rough one: ten hours on a fast boat with one long open-water crossing to Biševo, which is why it is not recommended for children under 8 or for anyone with back problems. If a bumpy ride worries you at all, take the Three Island Tour, a large traditional wooden boat that takes the day without rushing and rarely leaves sight of land.
My child has a nut allergy, can you work around it?
Yes, within limits: tell us when you book and the crew will do what they reasonably can. Mention the allergy at booking rather than on the dock. What we cannot promise is a nut-free boat: the Three Island Tour is the only tour with a cooked meal, it is prepared in one small galley alongside every other meal on board, and guests are free to bring their own snacks aboard. For a serious allergy, bring safe food of your own and whatever medication your child needs. The other three tours serve no meal at all, which some families find simpler.
How long do we stay at the Blue Lagoon?
You stay at the Blue Lagoon for about an hour and 45 minutes on the half-day tour. It is the longest stop of the trip, anchored in the lagoon from 09:30 to 11:15 on the morning departure and 15:00 to 16:45 on the afternoon one. That is long enough for a proper swim and some snorkelling rather than a quick dip. On the full-day Three Island Tour the time at the Blue Lagoon is about an hour, because that day also includes Maslinica and Duga Bay.
What is Krka National Park like?
Krka is a river national park where 17 travertine cascades fall into a wide emerald pool at Skradinski Buk. It is inland rather than on the coast, and wooden boardwalks take you right along the water. The park is about an hour and a half from Trogir and the day is self-guided, so you get a flexible 2 to 3 hours to walk it at your own pace before the 30-minute boat ride down to Skradin. Swimming at the main falls has been banned since 2021, though there are places to swim elsewhere in the park along the river. Wear proper shoes: the boardwalks are long and the stone gets slippery.
My mother has limited mobility, can she still come?
Usually yes, if she can manage a step. Boarding means stepping from the dock or the swim platform with a hand from the crew to steady her, though they cannot carry anyone: there is no ramp or lift on any of our boats, and a wheelchair cannot practically come aboard. Guests in their seventies and eighties join regularly, and there is seating, shade and a toilet, with nobody obliged to swim. The Blue Lagoon half day is the gentlest and a private charter is the most flexible. Two to be careful with: the Blue Cave tour is ten hours on a fast boat and is not recommended for anyone with back problems, and Krka is 2 to 3 hours of walking on long, slippery boardwalks. Tell us about limited mobility or elderly parents when you book and we will say honestly whether a given tour works.
What is the name of your boat, and which boat will we be on?
One of two: Mirakul or Duboka. Those are the two boats we run, and which one takes a given departure is settled close to the day, so we cannot promise a particular one in advance. It makes no difference to the trip: both leave from the same meeting point, the one in your confirmation email, and the crew are there from about 20 minutes before departure. If you are looking for us on the Riva, look for the Trogir.Tours crew rather than a name on a hull.
Will I get seasick on a boat tour from Trogir?
Most guests do not. The Adriatic here is usually calm in the morning, and the Three Island Tour runs on a traditional wooden boat that sits heavily in the water, which makes it the steadiest day we do. The Blue Cave tour is the one to think about: ten hours on a fast boat with one long open-water crossing, and the trip a sensitive stomach notices. If you know you are affected, take a tablet an hour before departure rather than when you start to feel it, sit low and towards the middle of the boat, keep your eyes on the horizon rather than on your phone, and eat something light beforehand. Tell the crew and they will move you to the best seat aboard.
