Krka Waterfalls at a glance

About this tour

Krka is the easiest way to add a true Croatian national park experience to a Trogir holiday. We handle pickup, drop-off and your park entrance ticket, then leave the pace to you: explore the wooden boardwalks, emerald river pools and the famous Skradinski Buk waterfall complex at your own speed, on a flexible 2-3 hour window, before catching a scenic 30-minute boat ride back to Skradin. There is no set group itinerary and no guide walking you through it — just the park, on your own schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Is Krka worth it as a day trip from Trogir?

If you have had a few days of sea and want something different, yes. Skradinski Buk is the widest set of falls in Croatia and the boardwalks put you right beside the water. It is about an hour and a half each way from Trogir, and the day is self-guided, so you set your own pace rather than following a flag.

Krka or Plitvice from Trogir?

Krka, unless you specifically want Plitvice. Krka is roughly an hour and a half away and gives you most of a day in the park. Plitvice is about three hours each way, which turns into a very long day with a fraction of the time actually inside. Plitvice is the more spectacular park; Krka is the one that fits a holiday based in Trogir.

Can you swim at Krka waterfalls?

Not at Skradinski Buk. Swimming below the main falls has been banned since 2021 and the ban is enforced. There are places to swim elsewhere in the park along the river, but if a swim is the point of your day, the Blue Lagoon is the trip you want.

Do you pick us up from our accommodation?

Yes, from Trogir, Okrug Gornji, Okrug Donji, Seget Donji, Seget Vranjica, Arbanija, Camp Rožac and Camp Belvedere. You give the address when you book and we confirm the exact time the day before. If you are staying outside those places we agree a nearby meeting point with you before you pay.

Is there a guide on the Krka tour?

No, and that is deliberate. Transport, the park entrance and the boat ride are included, and the day inside the park is yours. You get a PDF with the practical detail — which trails, how long, where to eat, what to skip. Guided Krka tours cost considerably more and move as a group.

How much does Krka cost for a family?

Adults €75, children 7 to 17 and students €65, children under 7 €40. That includes the pickup, the park entrance ticket at Lozovac and the 30-minute boat ride to Skradin. Food and drink are not included: bring your own or buy inside the park, where prices are what you would expect in a national park.

What should we wear and bring to Krka?

Proper walking shoes above anything else — the boardwalks are long and the stone gets slippery. Water, a hat and sunscreen, since much of the walk is open. Swimwear only if you plan to swim further up the river. A small backpack is easier than a beach bag.

Is the Visovac boat trip included?

No. The boat ride from the park to Skradin is included; the separate excursion to the Visovac island monastery is an optional extra you buy inside the park. It adds a couple of hours, so decide on the day depending on how much time you want at the falls.

What if it rains on the day of the Krka tour?

The park is open and the falls are at their most powerful after rain, so the trip normally runs. If the forecast is genuinely bad we will tell you and move you to another day. Free cancellation applies up to 48 hours before departure either way.

We’ve booked a tour twice this week with this company. We’ve met some great people who made both trips and incredible experience for us. On our first tour we went to blue lagoon, which was awesome and then to two beautiful islands. The second tour was even better as Duje, the driver, really took time to explain about diving and all different creatures that live at the beautiful shores we’ve visited. Duje also talked about living in the area and had some great suggestions for places and restaurants to visit. If we ever come back we’ll sure like to get back in touch with Duje or the people from this company because we have experienced two great days with them!
