Trogir Excursions: Every Trip You Can Book Here
The islands, the Blue Cave, the Blue Lagoon and the Krka Waterfalls: every excursion from Trogir, what it costs and who it suits
Trogir is one of the easiest bases on this coast for a day excursion. The boats leave from the Riva in the old town, the Blue Lagoon is about half an hour away by speedboat, and the Krka Waterfalls are roughly an hour and a half inland. Split is about 30 minutes up the coast by car, so guests staying there, and cruise passengers with a day in port, use Trogir as a departure point too. We keep the list short and honest rather than long: two full-day boat excursions, one half-day, and one land day to Krka, with adult prices from €50. Below is what each excursion costs, how long it takes and who it suits, including the one we will happily talk you out of.
Day excursions by boat from Trogir
Two full-day boat excursions run from the Trogir Riva in season. The Three Island Tour is the relaxed one: about 7.5 hours on a traditional wooden boat, leaving at 09:00 and back by around 16:30, with breakfast, a freshly grilled lunch, water, juice, wine and a welcome drink on board. It swims at the Blue Lagoon, gives you free time in Maslinica on Šolta and finishes in Duga Bay, for €50 per adult (down from €60), €25 for children 5-12 and free under 5. The Blue Cave Tour is the adventure: a 10-hour speedboat day for a maximum of 12 guests, leaving at 06:30 to reach the Blue Cave on Biševo before the queue, then Komiža, Stiniva Cove, the Budikovac lagoon and Hvar, at €110 per person, ages 8 and up. The cave entrance ticket is paid on site.
Land excursions: the Krka Waterfalls
Not every excursion from Trogir is a boat trip. The Krka Waterfalls day trip heads inland to Krka National Park, about an hour and a half each way, with pickup from your accommodation across Trogir, Okrug, Seget, Arbanija and the nearby campsites. The park entrance ticket at Lozovac and a scenic 30-minute boat ride to Skradin are included, and the day is deliberately self-guided: you get a flexible 2-3 hours at the Skradinski Buk falls and set your own pace instead of following a group. Adults pay €75, children 7-17 and students €65, and children under 7 €40. One honest note: swimming below the main falls has been banned since 2021, so if a swim is the point of your day, stay on the coast.
Half-day excursions from Trogir
If a full day feels too long, the Blue Lagoon half-day is the excursion to book. Five hours on a speedboat with a maximum of 12 guests, visiting the turquoise Blue Lagoon by Drvenik, the harbour village of Maslinica on Šolta and sheltered Branač Bay, for €55 per adult and €50 for children 0-12. It runs twice a day: the morning trip leaves at 09:00 and is back by 14:00, the afternoon leaves at 14:30 and is back by 19:30. The afternoon departure usually finds the lagoon quieter, because it arrives as the big day boats are leaving.
Excursions for cruise guests and older travellers
If your cruise calls at Split, Trogir is about 30 minutes up the coast by car or an hour on bus 37, and the morning Blue Lagoon departure is back by 14:00, which leaves a comfortable margin before all-aboard. For older travellers, or anyone who wants a gentler excursion, the Three Island Tour is the one we recommend: a large, stable wooden boat with a proper toilet on board, no age limit, calm shallow swim stops, lunch cooked on the boat and a return to the Riva by about 16:30. The one excursion we would talk many people out of here is the Blue Cave: ten hours on a fast boat in open sea, not suited to anyone with back problems. How booking an excursion works
You book online, pay a small deposit and settle the balance on the day: on the Three Island Tour the deposit is €10 per adult and €5 per paying child. The Blue Cave is the exception and is paid in full when you book, because the boat holds twelve and a no-show cannot be resold on the morning. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before departure on the Three Island, Blue Cave and Krka excursions, and up to 24 hours on the Blue Lagoon half-day, which just asks that you book at least 5 hours before it leaves. On the Three Island Tour you also choose your lunch (meat, fish or vegetarian) when you book, and you can board in Trogir at 09:00, Okrug at 09:20 or Medena at 09:45.
