Where each tour boards, and when

The boarding points are fixed, and you choose yours when you book. Picking Okrug over Trogir changes nothing about the price or the day.

Take the point nearest your bed rather than the prettiest one. Okrug and Medena exist so that guests on Čiovo and in Seget do not have to cross into town at the busiest hour of the morning, and in July and August that is worth more than twenty minutes of extra sleep. If you are staying in the old town, walk. The Riva is the waterfront promenade along it, and the Three Island Tour meeting point sits at 43.5147778, 16.2511944.

How early to be there, and what happens if you are late

Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before your departure time. The crew is there from about 20 minutes before, so there is no advantage in arriving at 08:15 and no harm in it either. On the Three Island Tour the boat is one of two, Mirakul or Duboka, and which one takes a given day is settled close to the date, so do not go looking for a name on a hull. Look for the Trogir.Tours crew at the point named in your email.

If you are running late, we cannot promise the boat waits, and we would rather say that plainly than let you assume it. On the Three Island Tour and the Blue Lagoon half day there are other guests standing on another dock further down the coast, waiting for the same boat at a time we gave them. On the money, the policy is what it is: free cancellation up to 48 hours before a full-day tour, and up to 24 hours before the Blue Lagoon half day. Luggage on checkout day

This is the most common August morning question we get, and it has two halves. A day bag, a dry bag or a small backpack comes aboard with you and there is space to stow it out of the way during swim stops. Larger luggage is a different matter: there is nowhere ashore to leave it, we do not run a left-luggage service, and a boat has no lockers.

What is realistic, boat by boat. The Three Island Tour runs on the large traditional wooden boat, up to 84 guests, with a shaded lounge deck, so a cabin case there is a nuisance rather than an impossibility. The Blue Cave and Blue Lagoon speedboats cap at 12 guests, and on those a suitcase takes up a seat and spends the day in the sun and the spray. Nobody can promise you it stays dry, and nobody can promise to watch it while you are in the water. There is space to stow a day bag out of the way during swim stops, but a suitcase is a different question and one to ask us before you book rather than at the dock.

So if checkout and your tour land on the same day, ask us before you book rather than on the dock. Tell us the tour, the date and how many bags, and you will get a straight answer for that boat on that departure. In most cases the better plan is to ask your accommodation whether they will hold your bags after checkout, and to bring only what you want on a swimming day. Krka is the easy one here. It is a road day, you are collected from your accommodation and returned to the same point, so bags stay a matter between you and your host rather than something the boat has to solve.

Getting there from Split, the airport, Kaštela and a ship

Two guides on this site already do this leg properly and we will not rewrite them here. Split Airport to Trogir covers the 5 km from the terminal, taxi, bus line 37, transfer and on foot, including the trap that the dedicated airport shuttles run to Split rather than to Trogir. Split to Trogir answers the ferry question, which is that there is no regular one, and lays out bus 37, taxi and transfer times both ways.

What matters for catching a departure is the shape of each journey rather than the detail:

Parking and drop-off near the Riva

Here is the limit of what we can usefully tell you. There is paid parking on the mainland side of Trogir and on Čiovo, near the waterfront, and you cannot drive into the old town itself. Beyond that we are not going to name a car park, a price or a number of free spaces at 08:30 on a Saturday in August, because we would be guessing and you would be the one circling.

What we can be specific about is where to stand. Your confirmation email has the exact meeting point with a Google Maps pin, so the useful move is to send that pin to whoever is driving, be dropped as close to it as the road allows, and let them park at their own pace afterwards. If the pin and the road seem to disagree, call +385 92 317 6909 instead of working it out from the pavement. In peak summer the Čiovo bridge is the thing that eats time, so either build a margin for it or take the Okrug pickup and skip the crossing altogether.

Landing and flying on the same day as a tour

Landing in the morning. Because the airport is about ten minutes away, a morning arrival can still make the 14:30 Blue Lagoon half day, which is back at 19:30. It will not make a 09:00 departure unless you land very early indeed, and it certainly will not make the 06:30 Blue Cave. Those two belong on your first full day, not on the day you fly in.

Flying out in the evening. The airline half of that sum is yours to do, because check-in cut-offs and queues are not ours to promise. Our half is simple enough: the morning Blue Lagoon is back at 14:00, the Three Island Tour around 16:30, the Blue Cave around 18:00, and the afternoon Blue Lagoon at 19:30. Krka returns in the afternoon without a published fixed time, so ask us before you plan a flight around it.

One caution we would give a friend: a return time is a plan rather than a guarantee. Wind moves a schedule, and on the Blue Cave day the sea has more say in the timing than any of us do. If your flight is that same evening, take the tour that finishes earliest rather than the one that finishes latest, and treat the 19:30 afternoon Blue Lagoon and the Blue Cave as days you sleep here afterwards.

When the morning goes wrong

Traffic on the bridge, a taxi that never came, a child who has decided today is not a boat day, a suitcase you have just realised is not going to work: all of it is ordinary, and all of it is easier to solve before the boat leaves than after.
